Children’s Choice Classics© is our innovative, classroom proven, literacy-based curriculum.
- Children’s Choice Classics© is a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate curriculum written for infants, toddlers, two-year-olds, preschoolers, and school-age children.
- We choose great children's books for all age groups and then create concrete learning experiences drawn from the books and based on children's interests and abilities.
- This approach to learning promotes a love for reading, teaches a respect for books, and encourages children to become lifelong learners.
Children’s Choice Classics© exemplifies the best practices in early care and education as established by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Our curriculum fosters children's critical thinking and creativity, and we encourage our educators to use their expertise to design additional learning experiences that encourage active learning based on children's interest and developmental needs. Children’s Choice Classics© includes a variety of parent materials to make sure they can stay involved in their child's early education experience.
Children’s Choice Classics© is developed by a team of early education teachers for early education teachers. Our Classics development team has a combined total of over 60 years of experience in early care and education; and each member of the team holds a four-year degree.
Children's Choice Learning Centers is a member of Character Counts!—a coalition comprised of thousands of schools, communities, and organizations that are committed to teaching America's children to become people who can be trusted to make good decisions based on principle rather than expediency. In our preschool and school-age classrooms, we focus on Six Pillars of Character — trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship. We provide ideas and activities to encourage these universal values which we believe define us at our best, however diverse our views and backgrounds.
Comments on Children’s Choice Classics© by a leading Early Childhood professional:
”I can fully endorse your product. You have
created a developmentally appropriate curriculum
using quality children’s literature as your base. The
curriculum packets will help teachers incorporate
good literature in the classroom, and allow them
to create units of study that address the
important developmental domains of each child.”
