Child Development Program Consulting
Children's Choice Learning Centers realizes that no two companies are alike, and none have the same needs when it comes to child care for their employees. We draw from years of experience in working with employers to help you choose a solution that's right for your organization. Our diagnostic tools are specifically designed to assist you in planning a child development program that meets the needs of your employee parents and your business goals.
Planning Meeting
We will meet with you, help you understand and evaluate your child care options, and obtain the information you need for decision making. Following the initial interview process, we will develop a preliminary Program Statement that will include program features such as ages served, hours of service, types of services, and center capacity. A written plan of action will be created with the recommended steps to reach a decision regarding the details and features of a child development program tailored to meet the needs of your employees.
Market Analysis
We will survey the existing child care centers in your market area. As a part of that survey we will analyze child care costs, quality and availability in your area. This information will be valuable in establishing competitive tuition rates and program components.
Needs Assessment
We use a variety of tools – including employee surveys, focus groups, and management interviews – to help you pinpoint and prioritize your child care needs. These tools are the result of years of experience in working with a variety of companies and industries. We provide an on-line option for employees so that they can complete the survey at their convenience. We will tailor each tool and each outreach to best fit your work environment. We will provide the statistical analysis of each survey, assess the results of focus groups and interviews, and deliver a comprehensive report of the findings and recommendations.
We recommend that our needs assessment team come to your campus and operate from a visible location (perhaps a booth in the cafeteria) so that we can answer questions that employees may have and get candid, informal feed back in addition to the surveys. We can provide drawings of the potential child development center and other details to build the enthusiasm for the child care program.
Feasibility Study
Our center design and operations team members have over 60 years experience combined, and have been involved in the planning and design of over 30 different child development programs in many areas of the US. We will review all options to determine the most feasible for your situation – from land and construction costs to space considerations, zoning and building codes. We will provide a detailed proposal with recommendations for the best site for your child development center. We can provide approximate design and construction costs. We will make recommendations for a child development program size and specific features that will meet the work/family needs of your employees, based on their feedback, our research, and our program design experience.
Design & Architectural Consulting
We will serve as your child development consultant throughout the design, development and architectural planning phase. We can recommend architects and construction firms with child development design and construction experience, or we can participate with you in the selection process for an architect, engineer and construction firm. We will make recommendations on your behalf to each party involved to make sure your needs are represented, and that the facility is designed to meet the needs of children and families in a cost efficient manner.
Consulting Fees
Children's Choice will conduct any or all the consulting work detailed above under a fee arrangement to be negotiated with the sponsoring organization. We will be glad to provide more detail on each area of consultation service, our typical fees, and an estimate of out-of-pocket expenses.
